This is picture of a urinal turned upside down. This very image inspired the Dada movement, as one people so this they beganned to question the meaning of art and morals. This photograph may be indirect comparison to how people viewed the War. At first people were ethusiactic in going to war, but as the war displayed horrendous results. Many people stared to become illusionsed with the regard to life. This was expressed in art and iterature. As with the Dada movement many people came to see that life was worth questioning in all aspects.

This past week our art class has been involved in making portraits. The unique thing about this particularly portrait project was that it involved painting a picture of someone you had no clue of. There were steps involved in making the project. The first involved finding your “nobody”, and then griding out your photo in a portion of the size of the material on which your portrait will be going on. The next involved sketching your photo and honestly this was one of my favorite parts of the project. The final step involved painting and to me this was slightly enjoyable. To me, the only time when painting is really enjoyable is when painting a wall. Though my view of painting was changed in a positive way as, the best part of the project was the mixing and blending of color in a monochromatic color scheme.

This painting is unique in colors in various ways. One way is that the colors of the painting mainly comprises of the primary colors. This sets the scene in allowing that different colors can be added to accommodate the primary colors. Another way is that the painting mixing of colors, sets a gloomy scene to the painting. this instills an emotion that accommodates the main focus of the painting, which is the image with the screaming face. The final way is that painting has an unusual pattern to the type of line scheme. The painting displays swirly lines, instead of solid- straight lines. The swirls gives the paintig movement as it draws your eyes to the main focus. To sum this up, this painting is very unique in the scheme and values of the colors.

This painting is by Diego Rivera. It was painted in 1947 and the painting diplays many aspects of SPRITE. The social aspect on this painting is that ot shows peasants working, which is a daily part of their life. The political aspect probaly relates to the class position on which the peasants were in. They were at the bottom of society and were comprised of many. The religion aspect is a little difficult. The peasnts may be against the church, because they are usaually the landowners who exploit them in their work or they may be inclined to their religion, because it places rules on their morals and unites their people. The intellectual aspect is that these peasnats mainly didn't have such a high education, that is why they have such a low paying job. The technological aspect is that during the time of this painting, agricultural technology increased and so their lives may have benefited form, in that the peasants didn't have to supply all their power. the economic aspect is that the peasnts generally achive great revenue for their owners, but in reality their was a distinction in the amount they benefitted as they were usually payed low wages.

This is a very interesting note. The note is some sense can relate to the teens and kids of today’s generation. Many kids disobey their parents and instead of talking their problems out. They tend to act like everything is fine and ok with their life, but in reality they’re not. They hold all their emotions inside them and this then leads them to become suicidal or runaway. They leave their parents without any notice of what they’re going through, because there is no communication between parents and adolescents.

The Nintendo 64 gaming console is certainly an item that I am nostalgic for. The gaming console brings back many memories of when I would go over my cousin's house and play it with him. Gaming console of today are better technologically, but are not very family oriented. The Wii is a gaming system of today’s generation that offer some family oriented games, but is just too boring for my taste. Others gaming system of today are fun, but too violent. Thus, having no chance of being family oriented, because the content is too aggresive for kids. The Nintendo 64 had many people playing at once with games that were fun and not only designed for children, such as the Wii.
